The Mast Farm Touring Club, at 1644 Broadstone Road, is located a few minutes by bicycle, motorcycle, vehicle, or on foot, from The Mast Farm Inn, itself located at 2543 Broadstone Road, both on the same main thoroughfare of the Historic Mountain Village of Valle Crucis.

Western North Carolina holds a legitimate claim as a scenic natural paradise with a rich cultural heritage, majestic mountains, lakes, streams and waterfalls, and a unique culture of arts & crafts, the combination of which exists nowhere else on earth. It is a place where even the most experienced world traveler will find wonders worthy of his exploration and discovery. It is a region of natural serenity. It is no surprise to its residents and frequent visitors that it has become a primary vacation destination in the US, as well as a favorite for those building second homes or retiring to more serene and greener pastures. The Mast Farm Touring Club is devoted to introducing international, out-of-state, and in-state visitors to the unique explorations and attractions of the High Country of Western North Carolina, particularly The Mountain Villages & Communities of Valle Crucis, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, Seven Devils, Linville, Boone and The Western North Carolina Region of the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as the vibrant picturesque historical regions surrounding the Blue Ridge Parkway at Valle Crucis, Boone, Blowing Rock, Linville, Little Switzerland and Asheville.

In order to pursue that mission we have designed an exceptional visitors & traveler's exploration center with the requisite resources.

The Mast Farm Touring Club is established on a grand property in The Valle Crucis Community overlooking Shull's Farm on Broadstone Road. The Main House, Carriage House, Terraces and Gardens provide a peaceful, relaxed and comfortable setting where the visitor can pause, rest, explore and learn. The grounds are especially designed to receive visitors to the region touring by car, bicycle, motorcycle, and on foot. At The Mast Farm Touring Club you will find a host of resources, activities and services, some of which exist nowhere else in North Carolina:

VISITOR'S INFORMATION CENTER
Provides free travel, road & weather information, brochures, maps and documentation to help you prepare or pursue your trip in Western North Carolina. Our mission is to compile and display as much regional tourism information as possible categorized by theme, activity and attraction in order to help you become properly oriented as to the world-class tourism opportunities the region has to offer.

MULTI-MEDIA BOUTIQUE
Featuring a wide collection of books, documentaries, DVDs, CDs featuring exclusively the books, videos and music from or about the region, it's people, history, culture, heritage, activities and attractions.

MULTI-MEDIA LENDING LIBRARY
A Reading, Viewing, Listening & Lending Library featuring written, audio and audio-visual documentation on the region, it's history, culture, customs and people. An ever growing collection of rare or hard to find documentation in print, video and sound. Tables and Chairs to read, listen and view in comfort using DVD, CD Players and Bose Headphones, free wireless Internet access for your laptop or PDA and free access to our own networked computer terminals and printers enabling you to scour the Internet for even more information or to make reservations and bookings.

GALLERY BOUTIQUE
Featuring an upscale collection of Western North Carolina's finest gallery quality crafts from the renown craftsmen and women of the area. There are over 900 craftspeople registered with The Southern Highland Craft Guild. Chartered in 1930, it has grown to become one of the strongest craft organizations in the country. Second in age only to the Boston Society of Arts and Crafts, the Guild now represents over 900 craftspeople many of which are from the region.

We offer a number of thematic tours and can custom design tours and events to your specifications. Some examples: The Cyclists Honeymoon, The Motorcycle Wedding, The Hikers Corporate Retreat, The Family Porsche Picnic.

THE PICNIC BASKET
Is anything more magnificent than a picnic with family, friends, a spouse or lover, surrounded by the majesty of nature. Possibly, but the Picnic Basket at The Mast Farm Touring Club will endeavor to convince you otherwise by providing three things: 1) The outstanding places to have a picnic, maps, directions and GPS coordinates, 2) The gourmet foods, basket, beverages, cutlery and glassware, and 3) the weather report. We have scouted a substantial number of outstanding picnic sites in the region and will provide you directions to those sites based on your own preferences, we prepare your basket, and we and Ray let you know how things look for the excursion. Baskets come in predesigned sets for two based on culinary themes or can be custom designed based on your preference or theme. All baskets are gourmet quality ingredients, the daily production is limited, and the custom designed Picnic Baskets based on your personal preferences or theme require 24-48 hours advance notice to prepare. This is not fast-food or take-out, The Picnic Basket provides slow food prepared by hand, meant to be serenely savored in nature over at least 2 hours of memorable discovery, rest and relaxation. Very much like the picnics they have in Europe. Special Events and Requests are encouraged.

CLUB FERDINAND
Club Ferdinand at The Mast Farm Touring Club is designed for Porsche Connoisseurs with permanent, retirement, or vacation homes in the area and regular visitors. Club Ferdinand is a unique "fleet-sharing" membership club composed exclusively of the latest collection of Porsche Automobiles. The Automobile Club enables you as a club member to explore the region at your leisure and pace behind the wheel of any of the vehicles in our prize stable of Porsches: 911 Turbo S, 911 Turbo, Carrera 4, Cayman S, Boxster S, Cayenne Turbo S, and Cayenne S. Select & drive any of the club Porsches for a day, a weekend, a week, at any time you desire, all for one yearly all-inclusive membership fee based on a points & reservation system to assure fair-usage. The points system is designed to provide you use of the vehicles approximately 30-60 days a year depending on your point usage. And this at a yearly cost less than that of maintaining & insuring any one of the vehicles for a year. This new concept of luxury, sports and super car sharing has been making great strides recently in Europe and in The US as a new model of ultra-high end vehicle use and has been introduced to The Western North Carolina Region by The Mast Farm Touring Club. Members therefore benefit from the use of the stable to tour what is arguably one of the finest scenic driving and touring areas in the US without the burdens of ownership, storage, maintenance, or fractional ownership at a considerable savings. Club Ferdinand is the only “membership required” activity of The Mast Farm Touring Club, all other programs, activities and services are open to the general public seven days a week from 10AM to 6PM. By special arrangement a collection of the Club Ferdinand vehicles are available to registered guests of The Mast Farm Inn as day, week-end, or week rentals at a reduced guest rate.
